On successful completion of this unit, students will

B. Be able to

1. Investigate the historical development of a selection of non-Christian living faiths.

2. Examine the beliefs and practices of a selection of non-Christian living faiths

3. Present Research-Aware evidence-based perspectives on a selection of non-Christian living faiths

C. Be in a position to

1. Applying perspectives and skills from ‘Living Faiths’ to contemporary Christian life and ministry practice as a reflective practitioner

Content

The historical roots, beliefs, practices, cultural influences and contemporary reforms in TWO, THREE or FOUR of the following living faiths: Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Islam, Australian Aboriginal religions, primal religions.
