1. Applying the teaching of Old Testament Wisdom Literature to contemporary Christian living and ministry practice
Content
1. Wisdom literature and traditions:
a. Wisdom in the Old Testament and the Ancient Near East in its social settings;
b. Wisdom in Old Testament theology, with special reference to the book of Job: the doctrines of God and humanity, creation, the fear of God, retribution and moral order.
2. Exegesis of the English text of Job 1–2, 9–10, 14, 19, 28, 38–42; Ecclesiastes 1–4, 12 (or comparable passages).
