On 21 March 2024, the Australian College of Theology was delighted to launch the latest book in the ACT Monograph Series: Australian Evangelical Perspectives on Youth Ministry: Identity, Church, and Discipleship, edited by Ruth Lukabyo.

This book is a collection of essays on children’s and youth ministry within the Australian evangelical context, many of which began as presentations at Youthworks’ annual “House” conference which promotes “theological reflection for best practice in youth and children’s ministry in a community of youth and children’s ministers.” This volume demonstrates not only the academic and exegetical capacity of the contributors but also the deep reflection each have undertaken in considering the importance of ministry to and with children and young people in the world today.

The launch was held at Youthworks College with a short presentation by book editor Ruth Lukabyo and a great discussion panel discussion and Q&A session facilitated by Al James and featuring Ruth Lukabyo, Lionel Windsor, Tim Beilharz, and Naomi de Vries. The book was officially launched by ACT’s Research Manager, Louise Gosbell.
