28 August 2024ACT Re-registered for the Maximum Seven Year Period
The Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) has re-registered the Australian College of Theology (ACT) as a University College until 14 August 2031.
The ACT board chair, Rev Dr Roger Lewis, has warmly welcomed the unconditional renewal of registration for the maximum allowable period of seven years.
“I am delighted,” he said. “The board does not take this decision for granted. TEQSA’s scrutiny is rightly rigorous and comprehensive. We thank ACT staff in all areas for their commitment to continually refreshing our policies and procedures to reflect current best practice. Their diligence and hard work underpin this outcome.”
Lewis continued, “We look forward to using this window of seven years wisely to build a better and stronger ACT for the benefit of our current and future students.”
The Acting Dean, Dr Edwina Murphy, expressed her thanks to the Dean, Prof James Dalziel, for his leadership in the re-registration process and continued: “TEQSA’s decision reflects the quality and maturity of our governance, compliance, and teaching and learning, along with our strong student outcomes. We very much appreciated TEQSA’s collaborative approach to our re-registration and look forward to continuing that positive relationship into the future.”
